Facebook posts following My Dad's death

Hi Dad!
After you passed Facebook became a place that I shared my grief and asked for prayer. Sometimes I wrote to you on your page and sometimes I wrote about you on my page. I want to be able to go back and read those so I am copying them to this blog. These are posts I made on my page shortly after your death. I was so broken and so hurt, but trying so hard to keep it together. I love you so much Dad!!!

"Please please pray for my entire family. Our hearts are so very broken. My dad died in a car accident just a few hours ago. I just don't even know what to type. I love my dad so very much and I just can't believe he is gone! He was such a servant of the Lord and must be so so happy now! I however, am so broken right now! All I can say is, I love you Dad!!!!! So very much!!!! Thank you Lord for giving me such a wonderful man for my father!!! Thank you for all the love he showed all of us!!!! Thank you for how open he was about how much he loved You!!! For I have no doubt that he is with You and happier than I can imagine!!! Thank you for every single beautiful memory I have with him!!! I love you Lord!!! I love you Dad!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Some things are so hard. It is Father's Day. I just want to call my Dad and tell him how much I love him. I want to tell him what a wonderful Dad and Grandpa he was. I want to tell him how proud I am of everything he did. I want to tell him that God gave me the very best Dad ever and I am so grateful. I really could go on and on, but I really can't compose my thoughts enough to write a message fitting for my wonderful Dad. So I will just say THANK YOU! Thank you Dad for everything you did for all of us! Thank you for all the love you gave to all of us! Thank you Dad for sharing the Lord so freely! He did beautiful work through you and you were so happy to serve Him! I love you Dad!!!! I miss you so much!!!!! My heart is broken, but your heart is whole and filled with happiness. "Thank you to everyone for your prayers, love and support! Thank you for your kind words about my Dad! He really was a special man who loved us all so much!! I miss him terribly already! I want you all to know that I have read each word that any of you posted and I am so grateful to all of you! I am so sorry that I just am not able to respond to each of you yet. That pain is so deep right now! Please know that I feel all of your love, support and prayers!! I do have one thing to ask of you all though, please pray for Vicki! She was my Dad's best friend in the whole world and she was hurt very badly in the accident. Please pray for a full recovery for her and please pray for her family as well! Thank you all so much!!"

That is what my Dad would do and I think it's the best way to honor his memory! That is what I want to do for him this Father's Day! That is a gift I CAN give him today!!!! "Hello again! It has been a very rough two weeks. I have been in California with my Dad's side of the family. I would like to say that family is everything! If we hadn't had each other, these last two weeks would have been impossible! Thank you all for all of the messages and comments you have left me in these last two weeks!!
