One Month & Getting to know who Dale Victor McCormick was

Hi Dad!
This is what I wrote for you one month after you were called home. I wanted to focus on who you were and not just your death. I guess I still feel that way. That is why I started this blog. It will be a place that I share you and not just your death. When Auston was born shortly after your passing, we were all sad that you didn't get to meet him and Vicki said the sweetest thing. She said something like, "Sure he did! They high-fived on the way! :)" We all thought that was such a sweet way to look at it and could even picture it. That is what I am referencing when I talk about Auston in this post. Dad, you really are someone special to all of us!!! We will NEVER forget you and we will makes sure that all of your grandkids NEVER forget you either!!! We all love you and miss you so much Dad!!! I love you more that I can ever explain Dad!
Love,
Mary Ann

"Dad has been gone one whole month! Almost to the minute! Instead of focusing on the fact that he died though, I would like to focus on the fact that he LIVED!!! My Dad lived for 57 years, 7 months and 27 days!!! He was born to my Grandma Ann and my Grandpa Jack on October 19, 1955. He was their first child and the first of three boys. He was a beautiful child!! He grew up to have three children. Myself, my sister Misty, and my brother Casey. We were the joys of his life!!! He made sure to tell us so all the time! There is nothing he wouldn't have done for his kids! Or his mother, father, brothers or just about anyone for that matter! He was a fun guy and always did silly things just to make people happy. That was just the kind of guy he was. We all loved him for that! He also became a minister and even baptized my daughter Emily. He was a man of God! He thanked God for everything in his life! He helped others find their way to The Lord as well. I have no doubt that he pleased The Lord very much! My Dad also had eight grandchildren. Four girls and four boys! He loved them all so much!!!! He was the best grandpa ever!!! He was the best Dad ever!!! He was a great son, brother and uncle too!!! He really was a great guy who would help anybody! He didn't get to meet his youngest grandson, but he high-fived him on the way to Heaven! He did so much good in his life!!! We all love him so much and treasure every single second he was here with us!!!! Thank you Lord for every moment my Dad lived!!!!! Thank you Lord for giving me, my sister and my brother the best dad ever and thank you for giving my kids and my nephew the very best grandpa ever!!!!!! That list really could go on and on so I will just say thank you for everybody's life he touched!! I LOVE YOU DAD!!!!! I am so very glad that you ARE my Dad!!!!!"
